The Cold Weather 2016 issue of Stranded Magazine has everything you need to stay warm from head to toe! The issue features seven patterns, from socks to sweaters, by designers Erin Birnel, Caitlin Ffrench, Ruth Garcia-Alcantud, Noriko Ho, Lee Meredith, and Andi Satterlund, all knit in undyed natural yarns. Preview all of the cozy patterns below.
We wanted to highlight the unique beauty of undyed wool and other fibers in this issue, and every yarn you’ll see inside is undyed. In addition to our pattern section filled with undyed projects, Sharon Crowley worked up swatches in a range of undyed yarns from both big and small yarn companies for her article on rustic yarns. And you’ll get to see plenty of undyed wool in our feature on shearer Matthew Gilbert.
The issue also includes a tutorial on i-cord techniques by Lee Meredith, a project bag sewing tutorial by Katie Sawicki of Dancing Sheep, and a recipe for homemade ginger syrup by Andi Satterlund. As always, at the end of the magazine you can find advice on swatching and choosing a size and suggestions from our designers on what to watch or listen to while knitting.
